Welcome Emmet W. L. !

I will leave most of the birth story for Bridget to tell. Just don't let her get away without explaining: "THIS BED NEEDS TO BE MORE BIGGER!!"


Other than a week late, things really could not have gone any better. And of course, in our opinion, the result is perfect.

Emmet W. L. is 8lb 3 oz. 5 and a half hours of labor, 1 hour total at the hospital before Bridget had him on her lap instead of inside it. 8:29 am.

All the hospital blankets were pink.
He is a boy, in case blanket colors really confuse you.

Everyone doing great. And in great humor all day. More birth jokes maybe tomorrow. After I get a chance to sort out which jokes are funny out of context. She did wake me up this morning with the line "I don't think you'll get to go biking this morning."


Silas was very interested in his little brother. Helping Mom during the labor by giving her his favorite car and proclaiming 'mommy's happy now!'

Finally the close up. Slightly out of focus, slightly jacked expression, but he is one day old and awake on camera so give me a break. The other pictures don't help for those of you who want to know who exactly he looks like. You tell me.
