United

Twas the first day of Spring break and all through the house...
three boys were only beginning their reign of terror. At least this first day they were all enjoying each other's company and only plotting against me, instead of fighting with each other. And if I had to choose between the two, that's the way I'd rather have it. It's messy, it's silly, it's irritating at times, but it is good natured.
The sun shining and we set up the archery target. I had just finished telling Emmet not to be disappointed if it was harder for him since he hadn't practiced all winter, and he hit the bulls-eye with the first shot.
We all went shopping. No fighting, just general shenangians of trying to build forts out of the giant packages of paper towels and toilet paper while the fish lady packaged up our new golden algae eater.  Or testing out every. single. riding lawn mower while we slowly made or way to the faucet aisle of the hardware store. I let the boys pick out the faucet for the sink in their bathroom. Orrin and I had made two failed selections already, and this one is actually a keeper. The end of the bathroom project is in sight!
A friend and her 3 year old daughter came over to pass the afternoon. She has been watching Brave so wanted the try the bow and arrow. Little Merida in training had a few good shots, just has to learn to do it on horseback now.
We also met with our architect this morning and got our first look at sketches for the garage and addition. So happy with it! Maybe not so happy once we get bids for building it, but very excited anyway.
