Catherine's visit was awesome by the way. She is party planner extraordinaire, super nanny, hilarious company, and put up with my insanity. Couldn't ask for more.
There's pictures in picasa of her visit and Emmet's party if you haven't checked them out already.
I can't believe she didn't share the story of Silas's accident at the top of Blarney castle which necessitated an emergency purchase of a pair of striped red and white pants. Silas was called Thing One the rest of the day. Of course, these are now his favorite pants.
The rest of Catherine's visit was more relaxing, we went to toddler group, made rolls, cranberry sauce, and sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving. Then went over to a friends for the rest of feast. Friday I dragged Catherine to Kindermusik class with us. We did a little shopping for some pottery, and went for a walk in the woods outside Lismore.
Saturday morning I attempted a "full Irish breakfast"- tea, eggs, bacon rashers, brown soda bread, black pudding, and tomatoes. I didn't make sausages or beans, but I wanted Catherine to try to black pudding and there is only so much protein you can pack on your plate.
