I just don't like to be around him. He always seems like he's angry. He doesn't handle his problems very well. (talking about a kid at school)
Emmet:
I've got dried fruit on my mind.
Don't follow me Reuben. I'm not leading you to safety.
Here Reuben you can play with this now, 'cause this guy (referring to himself) is climbing a tree.
Reuben:
Ah-sigh? Burr! Burr! Shoo, shoo, shoo. Ah-sigh!
Huh-uh, huh-uh, no, no, no, NOOOO!!!
It was also Reading Fair night (think Science Fair, but with literature instead). He made a diorama of The Reptile Room, from Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events. He worked very hard on it, and we both had fun at it. I did my best to let Silas do the majority of it- making occasional suggestions for construction techniques and materials and wielding the hot glue gun.
Just in time for the weather to cool off I had Emmet and Reuben help start some seeds. Not that I have a place to put them once they sprout...I'm hoping to put some fancy raised beds in the front of the house. because fancy will nicely complement the rotting pergola and overgrown bushes.

Aunt Carol
Great job on the cookie-mouse costume! And the diorama looks fantastic! Thanks for posting to the blog so often - I just love reading about even the most mundane things going on in the Lorenz family.
