It was a detailed account of the rest of Ben and Sonja's visit, which I will now sum up in, surprise! a bulleted list.
- Rainy miserable weather on Wednesday
- Lunch and shopping at the Kilkenny design center
- Jerky, child hating tour guide at Kilkenny castle
- Doctor visit for me for a badly infected blister on my little toe
- Losing to Orrin and Sonja at Cranium- how humiliating!
- Winning a fierce battle of Settlers of Catan
- Walking to the bird sanctuary and feeding the ducks and swans stale bread
- Visiting St. Patricks well, the obligatory site we take all our visitors to
- Walking around downtown to photograph the doors of Clonmel
- Sitting on the pedestrian street watching Ian and Silas scramble over the brick pavers
- Talking Ben and Sonja into Irish set dancing at a friends house
- Watching them wow everyone as they picked it up like they'd been doing it their whole life, making me think we should try this again in Dowagiac at Christmas
- Driving in the rain to Killarney
- Shopping for sweaters and other Christmas gifts/souvenirs
- Touring Muckross House and gardens

- Dinner and pub in Kenmare
- The B&B owner trying to give me an anxiety attack by repeatedly telling us she had never made it to the airport in under 2 3/4 hours and that we would never get Ben and Sonja to the airport on time.
- Orrin made it in 2 hours flat with out even speeding. They even had time to buy an infant ticket for Ian.
Since they departed Orrin and I have kept busy
- Washing and vacuuming the car

- Doing all the laundry
- Cutting Silas's hair
- Going to a car boot sale (basically a flea market)
- Watching Curious George
- Fixing the hard drive on the desktop
- Making a failed attempt at Halloween cookies
- Sleeping as much as possible
- Grocery shopping
- Making reservations for Venice this weekend
- Finishing Silas's Halloween costume (stay tuned for pictures)

Is Silas barefoot? Has he already made his foot into an huge callus (like everyone in his family on his mother's side!)? That is fast!
Glad you're back up and running, Bridget. I've missed your posts!
Wow, busy! It's so frustrating to lose a post you've worked hard on; sorry about that.
